US Oncology is the nation’s leading integrated oncology company. By uniting the largest cancer treatment and research network in America with legislators and policy makers on Capitol Hill, the UNITED network has the ability to expand quality coverage across the country and advance the science of cancer care. In the weeks and months ahead we are currently executing policy work with the Congress to identify solutions with regard to the follow items for reform:

• Providing Access to Quality Care in the Community
• Health Care Reform and Specialty-Specific Accountable Care Organizations
• Support for Prompt Pay Discount Legislation
• Cancer Drug Coverage Parity Act
• Assuring and Improving Cancer Treatment Education and Cancer Symptom Management
• Safeguarding America’s Pharmaceuticals Act

In 2010-2011 we hope to inform and educate legislators on Capitol Hill and in the states as a UNITED organization aimed at cancer reforms that advance and improve cancer care. US Oncology’s long-standing commitment to evidence-based medicine and electronic medical records (EMR); its willingness to create a state-of-the-art drug distribution center from the ground up; the program portfolio of more than 200 clinical trials stage I thru stage IV; and comprehensive use of evidenced based guidelines make the network uniquely positioned as an advocate for the cancer caregiver and a resource for the Congress.
