US ONCOLOGY JOINS KEY STAKEHOLDERS FOR RADIATION THERAPY BRIEFING ON CAPITOL HILL
Yesterday, US Oncology and other leaders from the radiation oncology community – representing patients, physicians, providers, and manufacturers – met on Capitol Hill to educate lawmakers and their staffs about the latest in radiation therapy technologies and techniques, improvements in patient care as well as the community’s focus on patient safety in radiation therapy delivery.
Speaking at the event were Co-Chairs of the House Cancer Caucus, Representative Sue Myrick (R-NC), a cancer survivor, and Representative Lois Capps (D-CA), a registered nurse, who both spoke to the critical importance of radiation therapy in the fight against cancer.
